DIVERSION NOTICE – SERVICE UPDATE

 

Dates: Monday 27th April 2026 to Friday 1st May 2026

 

Reason: Temporary road closure affecting normal service route

 

Due to road restrictions during the above dates, services will be unable to operate along the usual route via Rhes Isaf, Lower Row, Jones Street and Nant Morlais.

 

Diversion Route:

 

The Pen-y-Dre High service will operate via the following diversion:

• Gwernllwyn Road

• Garden Street

• Upper Union Street

This diversion follows the green-marked route shown on the map.

 

Important Information:

 

• Bus stops on Upper Row, Lower Row and at Dowlais Con Club will not be served during this period.

• Pupils who usually board or alight at Upper Row or Lower Row should use the temporary stop located by the Funeral Directors at the bottom of Rhes Isaf.

• Pupils who usually board or alight at Dowlais Con Club should use the temporary stops near Dowlais Police Station.
